Jewelry 1
A course for beginners. The basics of Jewelry and small Metals fabrication. Learn the use of tools, how to saw, file, sand, and high temp silver solder with silver, copper, and brass. Create Pierced Sawing Samples, Band Rings, and a Bezel Set Stone Pendant. Projects will implement various finishing techniques and surface treatments including polishing, rolling mill texture, patinas, and more. Supply costs vary; an approximate cost is $100. Jewelry 2
Jewelry I or equivalent experience required. Take your metalworking skills to the next level. Learn intermediate to advanced techniques for working with jewelry and small metals such as; forming and soldering hollow forms, forging, alternative connections, various stone settings, and other techniques as time allows. New techniques may be introduced each session. Supply costs vary; an approximate cost is $50. No class 7/4. Fee: $80. 480-350-5287

Jewelry Sampler
An introduction to special techniques. Jewelry I or equivalent experience recommended. Learn the basic skills for jewelry and small metals in acid etching, lost wax casting, and vitreous glass enameling fused to metal. This class is fast paced and designed to demonstrate techniques, it will not necessarily result in completely finished projects. Each student will finish a sampling of each technique. Entry level class. Designed for beginners, but advanced students may work independently.
Design, layout and carving and finishing the model will be covered.
Wax will be available for purchase during class.
Turn found objects into metal. Use tree branches and leaves, spices, bark, or plastics from doll parts to ball point pens, anything that will burn at 1250F.
Cast pieces can be utilized to create jewelry or sculpture.
May be cast in silver, bronze or gold.
